Dubai, UAE – 22 November 2019: SAMI successfully concluded its participation in the five-day long Dubai Airshow 2019, ending on a high note after making important announcements and welcoming a large number of VIPs and high-level delegations to its outdoor booth and chalet, and SAMI-AEC’s indoor co-branded stand.
Among the visitors to SAMI’s three locations at the Dubai Airshow were H.R.H. Lt. Gen. Turki Bin Bandar Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF); H.R.H. Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Chairman of the Saudi Space Agency; H.E. Eng. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Ohali, Governor of the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI); H.E. Abdulhadi Almansouri, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA); Maj. Gen. Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Ghamdi, Deputy Commander of the Joint Forces; Maj. Gen. Eng. Atyah Judai Atyah, Director General of the General Department of Spare Parts, Maintenance and Repair at the Ministry of Defense; Brig. Gen. Ayed Al-Jeaid, Chairman of flynas; Dirk Hoke, CEO of Airbus Defense and Space; among others.
These dignitaries accompanied by their delegations were received by SAMI’s CEO Dr. Andreas Schwer and senior executives from the company.
The products displayed at SAMI’s outdoor booth covered the company’s four business divisions, namely Aeronautics, Land Systems, Weapons and Missiles, and Defense Electronics.
The company’s Aeronautics portfolio included H145 and A330 MRTT from Airbus; AW139 from Leonardo; F-15 from Boeing; Solar HALE from BAE Systems; C-130J and Blackhawk from Lockheed Martin; and C-130 Valve Housing, F-15 Gas Turbine Wheel JFS, and F-15 Combustion Chamber JFS from Aircraft Accessories and Components Company (AACC).
Under its Land Systems portfolio, SAMI showcased the 3000 Series Turret from Belgian company John Cockerill (formerly known as CMI Group). The 3000 Series Turrets are modular turrets available in manned, unmanned or remote variants and can be integrated on wheeled and tracked armored vehicles.

SAMI also showcased its strong portfolio of Defense Electronics solutions that included TALIOS from Thales; WESCAM MX-20 from L3HARRIS; Air Observation System (AOS), Multi-Display Unit, and Radio over-IP (RoIP) from Advanced Electronics Company (AEC).
SAMI Navantia Naval Industries (SAMINavantia), Advanced Electronics Company (AEC), and Aircraft Accessories and Components Company (AACC), three of SAMI companies, took part in the Dubai Airshow 2019 under SAMI’s umbrella.
